Hi.
This is the official website for Gonzaga Prep 2016 destination imagination team. Throughout the year our team has been asked by anyone and everyone “What is D.i exactly?” The truth is, and this is the the answer we invariably give in reply, “You can’t describe D.i. Not in one sentence.” How does one even begin to relate to someone the essence of what D.i actually is? We start with the basics found on the Destination Imagination website: D.i is a volunteer-led, non-profit, organization with the purpose to inspire the next generation of innovators and leaders. It blends STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education it’s the arts of social entrepreneurship. It’s academic challenges are designed to teach kids how to think, not what to think, and then present their solutions at regional and state tournaments. Each team solution is scored on a variety of elements, including originality, workmanship, presentation, and team work.
In a nutshell, D.i is a promotion and celebration of creativity throughout the world.
